Connect augo to Claude and ChatGPT

augo runs an MCP server. Add it as a connector and you can ask Claude or ChatGPT about your athletes — their workouts, how they're feeling, and what you've talked about. You can also ask them to create workouts, build reports and process sessions. The sky is the limit.

What you can do with the augo connector

Worth reading before you connect.

01
Ask about any athlete
Their sessions, their volume, frequency and intensity, their feedback and what the two of you have discussed — answered in one question, without opening augo.
02
Spot who needs attention
Ask which athletes are drifting: feedback trending down, sessions missed, sessions getting longer or harder too quickly.
03
Create and assign workouts
Build a single session, or a whole block of them at once, and put them on an athlete's calendar for the days you choose.
04
Draft messages, notes and reports
Write a reply to an athlete, record a private note, or pull a training block or a week into a written summary.
05
Your athletes only
The connector signs in as you. It sees exactly what you see in augo — your athletes, your messages, your notes. Nothing else, and nothing belonging to another coach.
06
It can act, not just read
As well as reading, it can send messages to your athletes, assign and edit workouts, and write notes, race events and performance anchors. Claude and ChatGPT ask you to confirm before an action of that kind.
Claude

Connect augo to Claude

Four steps. The menu labels below are in English, as Claude usually shows them.

  1. Open your settings

In Claude, click your profile, then Settings.

  2. Add a custom connector

Go to Connectors and click Add custom connector.

On some plans this sits under Customize rather than Settings. On a Team or Enterprise workspace an owner has to add the connector once under Organization settings, after which it appears here for everyone to connect.

  3. Fill in the name and the URL

Name the connector augo and paste the augo MCP server URL. Nothing goes in Advanced settings — augo does not use an OAuth client ID or secret. Then click Add.

    Add custom connector

    Name

    augo

    Remote MCP server URL

    Advanced settings

Leave both OAuth fields empty. augo needs neither a client ID nor a secret.

Fill in these two fields, leave Advanced settings alone, and click Add.
  4. Sign in with your augo email

A sign-in window opens. Enter the email you use for augo and augo sends you a link. Open your inbox, click the link, and the connector is connected.

There is no password to type. If the link does not arrive within a minute, check your spam folder.

ChatGPT

Connect augo to ChatGPT

Five steps. Developer mode has to be on first. The menu labels below are in English, as ChatGPT usually shows them.

Browser only

A custom connector can only be added from ChatGPT in a desktop browser. Once it is added you can use augo from the ChatGPT mobile app as normal.
  1. Open your settings

In ChatGPT in a desktop browser, click your profile, then Settings.

  2. Open Plugins

In the settings menu, go to Plugins. This is where custom connections live in ChatGPT.

  3. Turn on developer mode

Under Plugins, open Advanced, find Developer mode and switch it on.

ChatGPT flags this as an elevated-risk setting. That warning covers every custom plugin, not augo in particular — it is there because a plugin can read your data and act on it.

  4. Create the plugin

Go back to Plugins and click the plus button. Name it augo, leave Connection on Server URL, paste the augo MCP server URL, and leave Authentication on OAuth.

    Custom MCP servers introduce risk.

I understand and want to continue

OpenAI hasn't reviewed this MCP server. Attackers may attempt to steal your data or trick the model into taking unintended actions, including destroying data.

Tick “I understand and want to continue” under the risk warning, then click Create.
  5. Sign in with your augo email

A sign-in window opens. Enter the email you use for augo and augo sends you a link. Open your inbox, click the link, and the plugin is connected.

There is no password to type. If the link does not arrive within a minute, check your spam folder.

What you can ask once you're connected

Ask in your own words. These are starting points, not commands — nothing has to be phrased a particular way.

FAQs

I can't find “Add custom connector” in Claude.

It sits under Settings or Customize, depending on your plan. If it is missing entirely, you are most likely in a Team or Enterprise workspace, where an owner has to add the connector once for everyone before members can see it.

Can I set this up on my phone?

Not for ChatGPT — the connector has to be added from a desktop browser. Once it is added you can use it from the mobile app. Claude can be set up on desktop or web.

Do I need a paid Claude or ChatGPT plan?

No — as of September 2026 you can add the connector on the free plans of both Claude and ChatGPT. Anthropic and OpenAI change what each tier allows fairly often, so if you hit a wall, check their current terms.

The sign-in window closed and nothing happened.

Start the connection again and this time watch for the augo email — the window is waiting on you clicking the link in your inbox. If no email arrives within a minute, check your spam folder and confirm you entered the address you use for augo.

Claude or ChatGPT says it can't find any augo tools.

The connector was added but not authorised. Open it in your connector settings and check it shows as connected; if it does not, disconnect and sign in again.

Can my athletes connect augo to Claude or ChatGPT?

No. The connector is for coach accounts.

Does my athletes' data leave augo?

Whatever the assistant reads is sent to Anthropic or OpenAI to answer your question, under their terms and their data retention. If that is not acceptable for your athletes' data, do not connect.

How do I disconnect augo?

Remove the augo connector in Claude or ChatGPT settings. Access stops straight away. Your augo account, athletes and data are unaffected.

I already have a connector called augo.

Names have to be unique, so remove the old one before adding a new one, or give the new one a different name. The name is only a label — what matters is the server URL.
